Itinerary to go by the road (bus and jeep) and return by air
Travel which allows you to visit the main cultural sites of Tibet by a route especially studied. The itinerary by the road will fill with wonder you: the splendour of the crossed landscapes and the Tibetan ambience of villages and monasteries will be unforgettable. Without forgetting the visit of the main monuments of Lhasa.

D 1 From Kathmandu to Zhangmu and Nyalam (2300m) - 127km: Early on the morning transfer in bus towards Tatopani by way of the traditional villages and the green Nepali campaign. Formalities and passage of border. Change of vehicle (jeep) and arrival at Nyalam. Night in Guest house.

D 2 From Nyalam to Lhatse (4300m) - 240km: The route allows us to use fantastic landscapes of the high Tibetan plateau. We cross Lalung La (5050m) : Panorama is superb on the Himalayan chain there. Night in Guest house.

D 3 From Lhatse to Shigatse (3900m) - 244km: We go on by crossing splendid regions and cross the pass of Gyatchu (5220m), the highest approachable Tibetan pass by the road. Night in Guest house.

D 4From Shigatse to Gyantse (3900m) - 90km: On the morning, visit of the monastery of Tashilumpo, residence of the Panchen Lama. Then, departure for Gyantse, historical city of Tibet with stupa of Kumbun and the monastery of Phalkor. Night in Guest house.

D 5 From Gyantse to Lhasa (3600m) - 270km: The day of trip is superb. We pass by Karola's pass (5010m), Kambala (4800m) and the turquoise lake of Yamdrok. We follow Brahmaputra to Lhasa. Night in hotel.

D 6-7 Lhasa : Two full days dedicated to the visit of Lhasa: The Potala palace, Norbulinka, the temple of Jokhang, the market of Barkhor, the monasteries of Drepung and Sera. Nights in hotel.

D 8 From Lhasa to Kathmandu : Transfer to the airport of Gongar and splendid flight above Himalayas, towards Kathmandu.

We can not improvise a trip in Tibet, and it is better to consult us on the advance to perfect your route and anticipate all necessary formalities (visas, licence, flights).

This stay in Tibet is possible only if a group is constituted (minimum of 2). It is possible to join a group :  departure every Saturday and Tuesday. Private tour are also possible.
