Trek of Helambu – Gosaikund

Very nice trek of 8 days (with comfortable lodges). Easily approachable because it borrows the first part of Helambu trek, it is of medium level owing to the passage of the Gosaikund pass (4600m), before the sacred lakes of the same name. The diversity of the crossed landscapes and unforgettable panoramas are in date.

D 1 Arrival at Kathmandu, reception at the airport, and transfer at the hotel.

D 2 Free Day (visits if required).

D 3 From Kathmandu to Dhunche (1900 m).
Bus from Kathmandu to Dhunche (nearly 7 hours).

D 4 From Dhunche to Thulo Syabru (1900m)
Beginning of the trek until the small village of Thulo Syabru. ~ 5 hours of walk.

D 5 From Thulo syabru to Sing Gompa (3300m)
We go up, following the valley before joining Sing Gompa: small dairy and ancient gompa.. ~ 4 hours of walk.

D 6 From Sing Gompa to Gosaikund (4300m).
We climb the Laurebina yak pass. View embraces Himalayas. Then we arrive at the holly lake of Gosainkund . ~ 5 hours of walk.

D 7 Gosaikund. Excursion.

D 8 From Gosaikund to Gopte (3500m).
Views are still superb on the way to Gopte. ~ 5 hours of walk.

J 9 From Gopte to Kutumsang (2500m).
We go up and down in the middle of the forest until Tharepati. Then long descent to the next village of Kutumsang ~ 6,5 hours of walk.

D 10 From Kutumsang to Chisopani (2200m).
Long day in the rice field ~ 7 hours of walk.

D 11 From Chisopani to Kathmandu.
We join the capital by Sundarijal and the Shivapuri National Park.~ 4 hours of walk.

D 12 Free Day (visits if required).

D 13 Transfer to the airport of Kathmandu.
